NLP Book Review: Seven Days by Paul McKenna

By Chris Harrison - Posted March 2007

Paul McKenna's Seven Days is written as a series of short exercises covering many aspects of life.

The aim is to take a single week and set your life in a better direction.

The book comes with a hypnotic cd that should be used for the days during which you read the book, but this cd is really useful in its own right, and a good general 'booster' hypnosis session for whenever you feel like a hypnotic pick-up.

As to content, the book is a mixture of life coaching and NLP techniques. If you feel as if you need a bit of a kick in the behind, then this is a good book to read.

If you're looking to learn about NLP, especially using NLP on others, then this book is not the correct book to read, as the NLP techniques are quiet basic and not explained in a way that allows you to experiment yourself, but do not let that put you off what is a easy and fun self-help book.

In fact the cd is worth more than the asking price on its own.

The chapters cover the following subjects:

  1. Are you Ready?
  2. A User Manual for the Brain
  3. The Power of a Positive Perspective
  4. Dreamsetting
  5. Healthy Foundations
  6. Creating Money
  7. Happily Every After
