Has NLP lived up to its promises?

Look around a room of NLP practitioners and what do you see?

Surely, considering the NLP hype, they should all be ultra-successful and completely confident and relaxed whatever happens. Is that what we see?

Many people, when they try a few techniques, think that it is going to be so easy, that the world is going to open up to them as if they're a demi-god.

Knowing how to change is the first step - knowing what to change is much more difficult, and like any skill, some people are going to be better than others.

NLP is very good for reorganizing our unwanted behaviors, but it is still up to us how we direct our lives.
